We built this because Zoom was not enough.
In person changes everything. You cannot replicate a real room on a screen.
In 2024, a group of women who had spent years building careers and businesses behind screens decided it was time to get back into a room together. Not a webinar. Not a virtual mastermind. A real room. Real coffee. Real conversation.
What started as ten women at a local cafe became a movement because many women were feeling the same thing. The digital world had made it easier to broadcast, but harder to belong.
Female Forward was built to fix that. Built on a philosophy that makes this room different from every other in the Tri-Cities.
Community is one of those words that has been used so often it is almost meaningless. And then you walk into a Female Forward Collective gathering and remember how it actually feels. I spoke to this group recently and did not expect what happened. Near the end, while sharing a story about my mom, I choked up. In a room full of strangers. And nobody flinched, they just held it with me.
That kind of room does not happen by accident. It is built by someone who takes community seriously, not as a concept, but as a commitment. Meghan Simington is that person. She is warm and driven in equal measure, and she has created something that women entrepreneurs actually need: a place where showing up for yourself and showing up for others happen at the same time.

Female Forward started as a small coffee meeting in July 2024. It has grown to 500+ women through the door, with events regularly selling out and a first 100+ room in April 2026. What happens here is genuinely different from anything else in the Tri-Cities.

The intentional seating invites real conversation. Easy, open, and unexpectedly energizing. I have left each breakfast with connections that feel less like contacts and more like women I am genuinely excited to see again.
