The founding story

From ten women at a diner to nearly ninety in the room.

Female Forward Collective started in summer 2024 as a simple idea — ten women around a table at a local diner, deciding it was time to get back into a room together.

No agenda. No pitch deck. Just real conversation between women who were tired of building businesses behind screens and hungry for something more grounded than a Zoom call.

That first table became a movement. The diner became Pitt Meadows Golf Club. Ten women became thirty, then sixty, then nearly ninety — and the room keeps growing because what happens inside it is genuinely different from anything else in the Tri-Cities.

Female Forward is organized and hosted entirely by Meghan Simington — Fractional CMO, business strategist, and the woman behind every speaker booking, sponsor relationship, and community connection that makes this room what it is.

"We lift while we climb and whole heartedly believe that we can always make a bigger table as there is enough for all of us to grow and thrive. - Meghan Simington"

Founded for connection. Built around an extended table.

What we believe

We do not believe in small tables.

Three ideas guide everything Female Forward does — in the room, in the community, and in every decision about what gets built next.

01

Lift while you climb.

Your success does not diminish someone else's. When you bring another woman with you as you grow — refer her, celebrate her, recommend her — you build something more sustainable than anything you could build alone. This is not idealism. It is strategy.

02

Make a bigger table.

The networking culture that pits women against each other is built on scarcity. We are not interested in scarcity. The table is bigger when more women sit at it. Your competition is welcome here — and when she grows, so do you.

03

There is enough for all of us.

There are enough clients, referrals, and collaborations for every woman in this room. We operate from that belief in everything — from how we seat the room to how we welcome every woman who walks through the door for the first time.

Fractional CMO & Business Strategist · Ready to Launch Consulting

Meghan brings over two decades of experience in B2B revenue growth, targeted marketing strategy, and building communities that create real commercial outcomes. She founded Female Forward because she believed women in business deserved a room that held both their ambition and their humanity — and she has spent every month since making sure that room gets better.

She is the person behind every speaker booking, every sponsor relationship, every intentional event detail, and every community connection that makes Female Forward the community it has become. In 21 months, the room has grown 252% — not because of advertising, but because of what happens inside it.

If you want to connect, volunteer, speak, partner, or sponsor — Meghan is who you talk to.

Two years in. Here is where the community stands.
